PATHOLOGY SERVICES : DOROVITCH PATHOLOGY
We have pathology collection services onsite at Netcare Medical centres. Pathology services are provided in collaboration with Dorovitch pathology conveniently located within our medical centres. Dorovitch is one of Australia's leading comprehensive medical laboratory and provider of pathology services with a strong commitment to quality and improving patient care.
We are available to assist you at our pathology centres in Moonee Ponds and Thomastown if you have been sent for a pathology test either by your GP or specialist as part of your medical care.
Our doctors liaise closely with the specialist pathologists at Dorovitch to ensure optimal testing and result interpretation. To maintain best practice, we encourage you to book a follow-up appointment to discuss your results as results are not usually given over the phone.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS HEALTH SERVICES
OVERSEAS STUDENTS BULK BILLED
We are providers of choice for international students and understand their special health needs and circumstances.
We provide direct or bulk billing so there is no out of pocket cost for holders of overseas students health cover (OSHC) of Medibank, Bupa, Nib and Alliance etc.
We provide total preventative and ongoing medical care to all students. We understand that University/Tertiary studies can sometimes be very stressful and could impact adversely on one's health if not properly managed. Our doctors have the experience and understand the unique needs of students and understand medical certification requirements for university or tertiary studies.
ALLIED HEALTH SERVICES
Our Doctors can assess your eligibility to access Medicare initiatives that enables you to receive bulk billed allied health care.

Dietitians & nutritionists.
These are all fully bulk billed with GP provided referral under the GP management/care plan. Our doctors and nurses have expertise in care planning and would assist in providing access to bulk billed allied health services for eligible patients.
Also our doctors are able to provide GP plans with bulk billing referrals for physiotherapists, audiologists, exercise physiologists, osteopaths, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, diabetic educators etc. operating from nearby facilities and accept our bulk billing referrals.

SKIN CANCER CLINIC
Skin cancer constitutes a huge health problem, studies indicate that over the past three decades, that more people have had skin cancer than all other cancers combined; each year there are more new cases of skin cancer than the combined incidence of cancers of the lungs, prostate, colon and breast. However, skin cancer is one of the most preventable cancers.

PREGNANCY AND PRE-PREGNANCY CARE.
Obstetrician lead antenatal care
Pregnancy care is offered to expectant mothers at our medical centres and draws on the expertise and several years of experience of our team of Doctors including GP Obstetricians and Doctors with specialized interest and significant experience in antenatal care and womens health.Our doctors are committed to achieving the best possible outcome for mother and baby. Referrals are not required for this service and full bulk billing is available.
Accreditation for shared antenatal care is with Northern hospital, Mercy Hospital, Sunshine hospital and the Royal Womens Hospital with which we work hand in hand to look after you during your pregnancy.
ASTHMA AND ALLERGIES
We provide the most modern and reliable testing and management for asthma, allergies and lung conditions caused by smoking.
Allergies are very common and are often neglected cause of ill-health. Many clinical conditions such as hay-fever, asthma, dermatitis or eczema and some food intolerance may be caused by allergies.
Our experienced doctors have special interest and expertise in managing patients with allergies and assess and order the most modern blood testing to identify different types of allergy.
DIABETES PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT
Our Doctors provide assessment and preventative health for diabetes risk, pre-diabetes and diabetes and provide comprehensive diabetic management and monitoring.
PREDIABETES TESTING AND MANAGEMENT
Prediabetes is when the blood sugar is higher than normal but not enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. It is important to diagnose and treat prediabetes because apart from the fact that 50% of cases go on to develop diabetes, recent research has shown that some long-term complication of diabetes such as nerve damage and heart disease start at the Prediabetes stage.
TYPE 2 DIABETES RISK ASSESSMENTS

Our medical practitioners have the experience and expertise to provide you with the advice, screening and treatment you may need to maintain and enhance your sexual health, they keep abreast with the most modern and innovative treatment modalities.
It is very important to have regular sexual health checks and testing for sexually transmitted infections (STI). Some STI like Chlamydia may not display any symptoms in about half of those who contract it and so they may be unaware of it. Chlamydia is the most commonly reported STI in Australia and can cause serious health consequences if left untreated including serious problems to the reproductive system. In addition to screening for a specific STI, we offer the full range of complete screening for STIs.
We also recommend sexual health checks before commencing a new relationship, if you are in a new relationship or may have put yourself at risk or have concerns about your partner. If you have any urinary, genital, lower abdominal/pelvic or menstrual symptoms; please call for a check-up urgently as delay could have serious health consequences.

Travel Clinic Services
Our experienced expert medical and nursing team can provide you with a personalized travel risk assessment consultation. This consultation process would usually include:
- Your individual risk assessment to determine your travel health risks based on your travel itinerary, duration of travel (short or long-term) and age (child, adult or elderly).
- Evaluation of any underlying health problems (e.g. pregnancy, diabetes, asthma, chronic illness, immunodeficiency) and assessment of your current immunization status.
